How to Install HP 64XL Ink Cartridges
- Open the ink cartridge access door โ Lift the door on the front of your HP Envy Photo printer. Wait for the carriage to move to the center replacement position.
- Remove the old cartridge โ Press down on the cartridge tab and pull it out. Set aside for recycling.
- Unpack the new 64XL cartridge โ Remove from packaging. Do not touch the copper contacts or ink nozzles.
- Remove the protective tape โ Peel off the orange or pink tape covering the nozzle area completely.
- Insert the black cartridge โ Slide into the right slot (marked black). Push up until it clicks firmly.
- Insert the tri-color cartridge โ Slide into the left slot (marked color). Push up until it clicks firmly.
- Close the access door โ Lower completely. The printer will auto-align the cartridges.
- Print a test page โ Go to printer settings and run a test print to confirm proper installation.
"Cartridge not recognized" error? Remove the cartridge, clean the copper contacts gently with a dry lint-free cloth, and reinstall. Contact Linford support if the issue persists โ replacements are covered under our Lifetime Warranty.
